sunday morning playlist

I’ve always been a music lover. Just listening to a song a like already makes my day. In my head there is always this soundtrack of my life. When I experience something new, when I meet someone new, there is always that perfect song to capture the moment.

When asked what are the basic necessities of man to live? I’d say water, earth, fire, air, love and music.

Now that I’m in Sing and living alone, re-starting life and discovering all things anew, I have found the best song to describe the experience. Is there not a more perfect song than of course the Rolling Stones’ magazines top 1 of the 500 greatest songs of all time, Bob Dylan’s Like A Rolling Stone. This is how I feel like now.

“How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?”

Not exactly in the lone, somber context, but in the expectant feeling of being alone and everything is there for the taking.

I came across this Rolling Stones’ list and I am quite agreeable to those songs that made the list. I have always been drawn to people with the same ardor for music and lyrics. I have been fortunate to have good friends with great taste in music. That is always the starting point for me. If you don’t know The Ramones, The Who, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Bob Marley, U2 and The Cure, what are we going to talk about? &nb
