welcome 2009

on my way to work this morning, i again realized how i loved my life.

woke up and talked on the phone to my "one"..and that's just how a great day should begin as always..i love hearing her laugh at 6am in the morning..

just got back to Sing yesterday at 2am. i had a horrifying cebu pac ride. i got there in time and waited an hour for check-in, when we got in front the agent at the counter said "puno na po ang airplane" and they can't check us in. there were 30 people behind me pa, and everyone got upset as expected. How in the world could they have overbooked the flights? And everyone got tickets anyway. Good thing I had reserved seats, and after much drama, was able to go in. And still we waited in the plane for more than an hour, while the groundcrew tried to fill-up the plane. At one point, a disgruntled passenger said "Ano ba ito, jeep na pinupuno?", and before everyone got crazy, we left for Sing. I still count that experience as a plus for me. I was "A1" with reserved seats. I guess I was still lucky in spite of this terrible service from an airline. I think you should read that from the papers at this time. The pilot even had a boo-boo when he apologized cause he said "these were seasonal problems and that all flights that evening were overbooked". I thought "overbooked" never happens. Apparently it's a "usual" problem with Cebu Pac, and I sure hope they work on it soon.

Anyway, back to work yesterday. My boss and everyone welcomed me with open arms still.Hahaha. I took 4 days leave in October, 5 days leave in November and 8 days leave in December. I have only worked for 6 months in this company. And when I got my payslip, I realized they haven't deducted a single cent from me, considering I should only get about 7 paid vacation leaves this half-year. Oh well, I am so happy. I have successfully convinced them that I'm a keeper and that they have to put up with my penchant for going home. So, woohoo for that. And they have kept work for me to do, as in literally they did nothing while I was away, and waited for me to come back and fix it.

So what's the plan this year? I'm not sure yet, but I'm positively woking on it. This ia a big year  for me and klui. And I am so excited how it will unfold.

Looking back, this is probably the best Christmas and New Year's I ever had. (Francia, I got your Christmas card, so sweet of you, and you were so right!)..More details on that on the next blogs. I realized that I have a lot of stories to tell in my head and I can't wait to share them all with you. I was home for the holidays and it was a long, well-spent vacation.

2009 looks great. I am happy. I love my life. Cheers to you all!! Let's all have a good one... :)
