I counted that it’s been 13 days since Leng’s wedding when I put my diet on hold. I immediately bounced back to strictly following the
What’s the
No bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, baked goods,fruits,beer,alcohol,juice,soda,sweets..oh my..the list goes on. That’s what they call Phase I. Meaning you’re body will really be shocked and it’s the most amount of weight you could lose initially. But then I gave up on rice and coke since last year so it was not too much of a stretch. I could still drink coffee (right now I’m on decaf, good heavens!),and eggs which were the two essential things for me. Phase I is the strictest period. 14 days of all mostly fish and vegetables. And it really does work. I was lighter by 8 pounds since two weeks and it will really show in the clothes. I can fit in my tight jeans. My tummy doesn’t look like it’s going to burst when I sit on a chair, in fact it’s a lot smaller now it’s hard to recognize me (hahaha..exaggeration, exaggeration)..The first two weeks target the tummy. Turn off the cravings and you become used to it. After two weeks, you get to slowly introduce the things you like but in moderation. Because you get used to eating a little, you feel like your stomach is instantly full after a few bites. As if your programmed your tummy to shrink a little. Anyway, yesterday was still Day 13 but we chose to celebrate. A little premature I know but it was worth it. I had my fried chicken first time after 13 days at Pancake house and it felt different. I swore I forgot how a deep-fried food tastes in my mouth. I had the tuna salad too. Pasta was also forbidden for 2 weeks. So I could say I had a happy, happy meal. I returned the butter and bread. And was extremely full I felt like bursting. Anyway it was worth it because it was like a reward, because there was a cause for celebration.
So what did I do Saturday? It is something that I have done for the first time in all my life (ouch..too much info..) I actually went in and enrolled at a gym. Say what??? Yeah, I know. I am not that gym person. When I really want to exercise, I try to jog and when I’m up for it I play a little basketball, tennis or badminton. But that’s about it. Could we count Nintendo Wii sports (hmmm maybe not..). I was actually there to get some dvds from a friend who was getting a facial. I went to Slimmer’s World thinking I’d be there 10 minutes to get the disks and get out. But then they gave me a nice welcome, toured me around the facility and then got to chat with the trainers. My friend told them I was on a diet and he recommended me to sign up. At first I was really hesitant about it because it’s not really me. Then I saw these big-ass LCD TVs on the treadmills and aero steppers and I thought it wasn’t such a bad idea at all. I felt I was flabby with the weight I lost, and it’s time to tighten up a bit. Try everything at least once, so they say. I start on Monday. I plan to go after work, another excuse to go home early. Oh well, wish me luck. I hope I don’t quit after a week. I think I am more excited about weighing in and measuring my body fat on the first day. They said they have a whole week of activities for newbies lined up throughout the week. Cardio aerobics, belly dancing, taebo, and sometimes yoga. Hmmm..am I up for that too? We’ll see. But it’s a good thing to watch TV when you’re walking and jogging. Genius. I hope I get to look tight and hot, at least enough to be spankingly new. All for Adrianna. (wasn’t supposed to say that but the post seems incomplete without it, pang-inis lang, hahaha..)
Guys, wish me luck. I hope I don't quit after a day..
