breakfast reviews

today, we went out again for breakfast. since i'm new around here, been trying quite a few. i plan to share with you all what's good and what's not. hopefully i get to try a lot more.

the good thing about a big breakfast is you don't have to eat lunch. at least that's what i tell myself when i'm putting off my daily go on the treadmill. Haha. a good breakfast usually leads to a good day. this day is no different.

1. Chicken Chef's Ham,Cheese and Mushroom Omelette

This was really tasty. The rye toast goes well with grape jelly. The serving is way generous. Lots of chunky smoked ham, tons of mozzarella and cheddar, and loads od fresh mushrooms, and boiled potatoes. I like the combination, and the taste just blends well. There is no star in this plate. Everything goes together. It's great with unlimited freshly brewed coffee.

2. Golf Club's Ham and Cheese Omelette

This is the healthier version. Everything was thought of, to make it less fatty and less salty. Though the potatoes are fried, no drop of excess oil can be found in it. This serving is just right. Just enough for a good breakfast. I liked that this place offers healthier food. I guess they're thinking fat and salt interferes with your golf swing. Good thinking.

3. Canad Inn's Hearty Breakfast

I was really hungry when I ordered this. I was disappointed when the english biscuit turned out to be too salty, and drowning in gravy. The bacon was overcooked and the sausages were burnt. The bland eggs didn't do well to hold everything together. Even the coffee tasted bland. At least I know what to avoid next time.
